Up & Coming made a video report for the European Commission’s humanitarian body, ECHO, at their meeting in 2011 inBudapest, Hungary, then under the EU presidency. ECHO announced the recruitment of the first 90 European Humanitarian Volunteers.
With the creation of this volunteering corps, the EU wanted to enforce operations and to ensure that these volunteers bring real added value to humanitarian disaster and post-disaster projects.
